Famous Mimicry Artist Nerella Venu Madhav Passed Away

Padmashri Nerella Venu Madhav, the famous mimicry artist, passed away today after a brief illness at his home in Mattewada in Warangal city. He worked as a mimicry faculty in the Telugu University. He served Andhra Pradesh as MLC in the tenure of PV Narasimha Rao.  He received honorary doctorates from Andhra University and Kakatiya University.Kala Prapurna Venu Madhav was awarded Padmashri from Indian Government in the year 2001. He imitates not only voices of people but several musical instruments with perfection. He performed in Telugu, Hindi, English, Urdu and Tamil. He gave thousands of programs in several countries and received several accolades. The legendary mimicry artiste was recently felicitated by the Telangana government on State formation day on June 2.
