A year of yeoman service for differently-abled

Challengers on Wheels Foundation celebrates its first anniversary

Marking a year of service to the specially-abled from the State, the Challengers on Wheels Foundation celebrated its first anniversary here on Sunday. The event was organised at a city hotel in which dozens of differently-abled men and women took part. The Challengers of Wheels Foundation is an NGO and has about 70 members with disabilities from across the State.

The chief guest, Excise Minister Padma Rao, interacted with the differently-abled and appreciated the rehabilitation efforts of the Foundation. He said the State government would help the Foundation in providing food and employment to the specially-abled. The Minister also promised two bedroom flats to some of the members of the organisation.
